The Kitzbuehel tourist board lists Vertical Up for 27 February 2027. Competitors climb the Streif, the famous Hahnenkamm downhill course, over 3.312 kilometres with 860 metres of elevation gain. There are no fixed rules on equipment or route, so entrants use touring skis, spikes or snowshoes and rely on their own muscle power.
